Hear this: I am in Mexico-City. Yes, you’re quite right – just days ago we drove through Belize and Guatemala and were already some 2000km South of Mexico City.

Well, have a look at the picture on the left site. And now imagine a beautiful mind behind the beautiful face.

Admit it: if you would be offered a city tour by a woman like this, you would catch the next plane, too.

At least I did.

I had met Luisa some 2 weeks ago when we were partying in Veracruz. Ha, ha, now you wanna hear details right? We don’t give them, sorry.

However, our weekend was great. Luisa introduced me to her friends Susanna and Pablo (I stayed at Pablo’s house because this is Mexico and therefore you are not supposed to stay at a woman’s place unless you have married her) and together we did some sight-seeing in Mexico City.

The city is much nicer than I was told by fellow travellers – the cathedral and high rising buildings are impressive (for a Swiss at least), the streets are clean and traffic is not half as bad as I would have expected. I was not allowed to use the underground (dangerous!) and got introduced to some quite cool restaurants and discos. Mexicans are perfect hosts!

However, the best thing was our weekend trip to a lake some 50km outside Mexico. Again, no details, but it was a very nice lake.

On Monday, my flight back to Guatemala City was leaving – and more than ever I felt the urge to stay. Being a traveller sometimes is not easy. However, as soon as Luisa has convinced her father that I am not a mass-murderer, I hope to see her again.
