Just a short note: after I had managed to install a new hook on the winch cable the Land-Cruiser finally was completely operational. There was the additional Diesel tank, there was a by now clean roof tent and I also did upgrade my tool-box. But if the car is ready this not necessarily means that the driver is so, too: driving along an abandoned railway somewhere in Newfoundland I managed to got stuck a bit. Backwards I got out, but driving backwards was difficult since it was 10pm and quite dark (I now realize that I would net some lights pointing backwards). Therefore I lost track of the railway and found myself in an uncomfortable position leaning against a tree (otherwise “she” probably would have capsized). With the winch I got “her” back on track, but now the passenger front door does not open that smoothly anymore.

Well, some people lose their money on the stock-market, some when driving off-road. I manage to do both.
