Having worked intensively for two years, it was time to do something different. You got it: it was time to discover the world. Time to get a wicked off-road car, to spend nights over maps and to pretty much forget about everything else than how to get around the globe. Mind you, of course I was not sure whether it was the right moment. But at one point you just have to go - no matter what you leave behind.

My world-trip by car had been a dream for a long time was. When I decided to forget about career paths and the decent life one can have in Switzerland and spend the next two years travelling, I was 27 years old. It was about an open mind, I guess. And an open schedule. I did not pursue a concrete scheme, neither was the route totally fixed…

Now after two years, 100'000km and 43 countries I am back home in Switzerland. I still like it here. And let me tell: it was a WONDERFUL experience, the best thing I have ever done!

As soon as Tobias will be ready to set a wheel on South American ground, he’ll let me know, I’ll take the next plane, together we’ll circle the continent, visit all the SOS children villages and right after that I’ll fly back home.
